In the Feb newsletter we informed you about the reschuffled concert agenda. The reason for this that on 01 Feb guitarist Frank and the band decided to split ways and to say "Goodbye" to each other.The next day already, 02 Feb 2010, Belgian 'guitarwizzard' Geert Annys (ex Stainless Steel, Mystery, Kate's Desire, ...), with whom Sjoerd had already played together in a former life, was interested to give it a try. During the rehearsal planned that very same day, it became soon clear that the search was over and Gee...rt joined the Neo-team the same day.He prepared himself in only 7 rehearsals to learn the full live set and some covers and he gave in the same period the overal Neo-sound a true energy injection. First concerts with Geert are planned on friday 02 april: JH Jonkhove Aartrijke + 3 april: JH Vuilbak Sint-Martens-Bodegem + 4 april: De Bosuil Weert NL (toget...her with Andromeda and Ulysses...) We hope you'll give Geert a warm welcome...

Woaw, a new year started !!! And again it looks a very promising year for Neo-Prophet. Although our Determined Music Management suddenly disappeared from this globe, we managed to create an interesting "Winter-Spring" tour ourselves with Wes as interim concert organizer, which will bring us accross many Belgian and Dutch scenes. In most cases alone, but also as package with Overhead (Fin), Andromeda (SWE) and Ulysses (NL). Check out the concert agenda for full details. We have just found a new Mgmt/booking partner in No Nonsense Music (B). Let's see what this brings. Next to that we started the
year pretty creatively and have yet about some 25 minutes of basic material for next CD, with temporary title "T.I.M.E." (more about that later) and which we hope to record again with producer Frank Van Bogaert in his ACE studio end 2010 - early 2011. Again the better Belgian beers are a great support in this creative process ;-). This will be pretty varied stuff again as you can expect from us, but with a subtile mood change vs. Monsters. You'll be surprised! More updates on that to follow in the coming months.

We spoke a long time about it , planned it carefully, rehearsed a lot ... and now it's over already : the first series of 5 concerts in Sept. and Oct.2009 and the first ones ever with Wes and additionally with Conny Dequeecker on the backing vocals, are a fact. And great concerts it were!!! We had great fun, got very good feedback and we thank all of you who were present and supported us during these gigs . The highlight was obviously our performance at the prestigious Symforce 3-festival in the wonderfull 013 venue in Tilburg/Netherlands, where we had the honour to defend the Belgian progressive rock colours together with our colleagues of The Sedan Vault.
This is not the end though since in the coming weeks we'll start a short autumn tour in Belgium on 28/11,5/12/12/12. We especially look forward to the 12th December gig in Club B52 as then we will be joined by our friends of Gemini Season as support act. A great band around Quantum Fantay's Dario Frodo, so check it out. Please join us there on that evening where you will also be able to admire our new concert posters (and some might be distributed) . These are also pretty exciting times on the creativity front : we started again to lock ourselves up in our WAMP studio with only instruments, recording equipment and obviously some crates of the better Belgian beers! Which means that officially the composing sessions for the next CD, with temporary working title 'T.I.M.E.', have started. With very promissing results so far, you'll be surprised.. just like we are ...To becontinued....Cheers!!!

Although the mild and positve stress, last night's first gig with the new line up (Wes on the drums and the additional backing vocals of Conny D) in Menen was a succes. Great feedback, some new fans obtained and additional CD sales. What can one expect more ? Have a stage impression in teh Media
gallery. Meanwhile we are working on additional online distribution and some more interviews in belgian press are expected in next weeks. we'll keep you updated. On 04 Sept Neo-Prophet will be performing it's firts gig live since the Monsters release and for the first time with new drummer Wes J. So check out this full show (20h30-22h00) in open air in Menen (B). Also on the bill 'The Green Onions' and their wonderfull live journey back to the late 60's early 70's.
