Unwritten Rules

Written by Mac somewhere may 2005 in a musing mood: the main idea is the question "why we take it all for granted and all that obvious?"... just an attempt to make you lazy listeners THINK a little bit more...haha...

It is an unwritten rule that the sun goes down,
that the moon glows at night
and our whole world keeps spinning round...

It is an unwritten rule that a woman loves one man
for the rest of here life
and as much as she ever can...
...but is this really all that obvious?

It is an unwritten rule that water feels wet
that love 's made in bed
and that the dark makes people afraid

It is an unwritten rule that a negro is black,
that clocks can't be set back
and that time keeps ticking away
...but is this really all that obvious?

unwritten rules,
made for us fools on an early monday morning
unwritten rules,
made by some fools,just to keep us wandering 'why...?'

It is an unwritten rule that a globe is round
that our feet touch the ground
and that music means 'sound'

It is an unwritten rule that that a desert is dry
that we look at a blue sky
and that a night follows each day
...but is this really all that obvious?
