Between Sun and Moon

Written in Feb 2005 inspired by a holiday in Nepal after a very early and hard trek during the night to the top of Poon Hill and this in the freezing cold . A race to be on time to watch the sunrise over the Himalaya mountain range it was. Man, one feel tiny at that very moment, the view is overwhelming, the atmosphere and connection form all watchers from all over the world is unique.. The ultimate universal prayer .. speechless we were.. but inspired to write this point of rest on the CD and in our live set. Perfectly in line with this atmospheric piano based composition by CAP.
Oh yes.. and by the way.. I am a sport .. although I’m fond of Leffe :-)!

Flashlights glowing like fireflies
And above us all, still darkened skies

Step by step, defying the early chill
Higher and higher, all on an iron will

Got to hurry, got to increase speed
As a gloomy daylight starts to appear

Side by side, united by nature
Closer and closer , connecting our cultures

So we're all caught between sun and moon
Somewhere between, between daybreak and noon
While black and white turn into gray
It's high time for this universal prayer

When the end of night, starts shifting to day
Some partial dreams might come and stay

High above, on top of this glorious hill
People still gather, to face this natural thrill

So we're all caught between sun and moon
Somewhere between, between daybreak and noon
While black and white turn into gray
It's high time for this universal prayer
